Meet Me At Jaurés is one of a series of artworks that comprise Sofia Lind's Paris Metro Collection - artworks inspired by her time living in the bustling French capital and more specifically the vibrant colours and rich atmospheres of Paris's various metro stations that like most Parisiennes, Sofia commuted through daily.
This beautiful artwork has a peaceful and calming way about it. The soft muted colour palette of teal and off white paired with the contemplative pose of the female subject who is wearing pyjamas makes it the perfect feature artwork for the master bedroom. You could also display it in the living room above a lounge suite or side table.

THE ARTIST
"I have worked with pattern and pattern design for a long time. The mathematical and repetitious process in pattern making suits me well and I often try to integrate patterns in my work. When I create prints, I try to make the difference between the original painting and the print as minimal as possible - I want the strokes from the brush to be visible."
Sofia Lind is a designer and artist from Gothenburg, Sweden. After studying Design BA at HDK, the Academy of Design and Crafts, she moved to Stockholm, where she is now based. In her work Sofia plays with muted colours, lively patterns and stoic female subjects in a way that’s fresh and captivating.
